Study Abroad has been a huge part of my college experience at the University of Georgia. The first time I studied abroad was the May after my freshman year. I went abroad on an Early Childhood Education program. Over the course of this program I shadowed a first grade class. One of the biggest blessings of this program was having the chance to live with a host family. This family helped to immediately immerse me into the Italian culture. Wether it was a visit to the park with neighbors or watching my host sister’s gymnastics meet, my host family included me in everything. This program was my first exposure of being out of the country without my family, so I was thankful to have had such an amazing host family to guide me.
